with me since youth. Both of my
parents are gifted artists and with
their support, I graduated with an art
scholarship and studied fine arts in
Vancouver.

of Oliver with my wonderful husband,
Brian. Through his invaluable support
and inspiration, I continue to create
logos, window paintings and signs of

Vice President for the Oliver
Community Arts Council. I join a team
of dynamic individuals to help
promote and support our community
that is rich and diverse in the arts.

In January of 1988
I opened my own sign shop in
Penticton, BC and embraced modern
technology as the industry changed.
The signs I have produced over the
next 25 years had much of Ed's
influence in design and
craftsmanship. I sold my sign
business in 2007 and the new owner
still continues to produce high quality
signs and workmanship.

It was my mentor, Ed McFadden
a master signwriter and artist who
gave me the skills and guidance to
develop my craft of signmaking. I was
blessed to learn from him, using a
paint brush & quill as there were no
computers in our trade at that time.
Over the years I eventually built a
"catalogue" of tips and tricks which I
still pull from today.
